Here we have been asked to jet wash and lift up the flags as there has been no foundation put down previously and the flags have sunk and all the pointing mortar has fallen and cracked.  After the flags had been lifted, we then dug down 8"  Establishing the levels with pegs so that the hardcore can be laid, falling away from the house in two directions, then the compaction plate was used to compact the hardcore solid. After  Flags were then laid back down on a 2" wet concrete bed and repointed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Old flages have been remove and just sorting out the foundation before laying the York sandstone     Front door step old paving flags have been taken up and skipped  new front door step built in York sandstone ********************************** |
